I am glad and excited to be back in San Antonio! Before we left, we packed duffel bags with baseball equipment and clothes for the Uganda team to take back and share with their community. We really had fun giving to the boys and they really liked it. We flew back in on Saturday and arrived at 11:45pm. Our parents and fans were there at the airport waiting to greet us.
It was a big privilege to be on the All-Star team and to represent Texas in the LLWS. Thanks to my coaches and to everyone for supporting me and rooting for me in all of my games this summer. Now I am ready to start 7th grade and hope to have a great year!

Last 2 games
On Wednesday we played our third game in the LLWS. We played Southeast which is Tennessee. During the game I struck out, but it was still a really good game. We lost in the 6th inning 4-3. After the game our parents brought us pizza and we got to talk to them. Then we came back, took showers and went to bed.
Yesterday, Thursday, our season ended at an 8:00 game against West (California). We lost 11-1. I lined out to 3rd at my one at bat in the game. When we lost, I was sad and mad. But I am fine because we still made it to the LLWS! That is Crazy. We are the 3rd best in the US, and the 6th best in the world. It was an amazing opportunity and I have had lots of fun!

Uganda
Today everyone slept in except me and a couple other teammates. We got up and had a good breakfast. Practice was from 2-4. After that, I went to eat with my parents and Grandmother. Then we went to see the first ever Little League field and where the first LL World Series was played. That was really awesome and exciting to see in person. When I got back to the park, we hung out with the Uganda kids. They are really cool...especially Toni, he is funny and nice. Their team is the first team from Africa to ever make it to the LLWS. When they came, some of them did not even have cleats, so they practiced with no shoes on!
I can't wait for our game on Wednesday. I am so excited that we have made it this far and hope to win it all.

Game 2
Yesterday we had our second game at 5:00pm. We played Great Lakes region (from Indiana) and won 13-3. At my only at bat in the game, I swung at the first pitch and grounded it up the middle for a base hit. I also got an RBI, so I am 2 for 2 in Williamsport, and that is pretty cool! We play our next game on Wednesday night at 7:00pm (central).

Our First Game
Today we got to relax and I slept in. When I'm out in the park I get to sign autographs. That's a lot of fun! Also, today I met Dick Vitale! He spoke to us at lunch and we got a team picture with him. Our next game is tomorrow at 5:00pm (Eastern time)

Parade and Opening Ceremonies
Yesterday we had practice at 9:00am, batting for 30 minutes and fielding for 1 hour. After that, we had lunch and got ready to go to the parade. When we got to the parade, it started raining! We were soaked before the parade even started! There were thousands of people lining the sidewalks of Williamsport and we threw candy to them throughout the parade. It was lots of fun and was enjoyable!
Today was the Opening Ceremonies. During the ceremony each nationality was represented by a player and a coach to say the Little League pledge in their language. I was chosen to recite the pledge in English for all the US teams. I was super nervous but it was real easy. After the ceremony, Japan and the Caribbean played the opening game. Japan won 7-0. Below is a picture of me at the podium saying the pledge.

New Friends
Yesterday, Tuesday, we had to get up at 7:30 for baseball practice. There are two stadiums that we play on and they are right next to each other. Both are real nice and really big! They are so big I am nervous.
In our dorms we share bathrooms with the Latin American team. They speak Spanish so I have no clue what they are saying. The team is from Panama and they are very nice and real cool. Japan and Chinese Taipei are cool too. The only English word they know is "Hi". So far this has been a great experience and has been lots of fun!

New Bat!
Today I was interviewed by ESPN. It was so awesome! We sat down with another ESPN person and they asked me a lot of funny and cool questions. They asked me what my nickname was...."church boy". ;)

We also got all of our equipment. We received new helmets, cleats, batting gloves and bats. They all have our team colors on them. My favorite thing I received was the bat. It is a very nice Easton Speed bat. Here is a picture of the cleats and helmet and also one of me with my new bat!

Introduction to LLWS blog
Hello...My name is Mason Moore. I am student at Lopez Middle School. I play in the band and also will be a part of the athletic program this year. This summer I was chosen to be on the All-Star baseball team for McAllister Park. We are now going to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA!
Yesterday we left at 5:30 in the morning on a bus to Dallas, TX. Then we took a plane to Philadelphia. That was loads of fun! After that, we took another bus to Williamsport. We arrived at 9:30 and were fitted for our new uniforms. Our jerseys are gold and maroon and say Southwest on them. That is the region of the United States we are representing. I was really glad to get my original number...#7 for my jersey. :)
